Sad Week In The Mom Blog World

I couldn't decide if I was going to do a post on this, but it has been pulling on my heartstrings ever since I heard, so maybe I need to just get this out.

This last week, two people were taken away from this world much too early.

On January 8th, To Think Is To Create's Arianne's beautiful little angel baby, Mabel, was born stillborn. I cannot imagine the feelings she must be going through presently. If you are the praying type, I sure bet they would be appreciated in this difficult time.

Then, this last weekend, fellow blogger Karissa of Prissy Green took her own life. This truly hit home for me. This woman was only 31. She was talented. She was beautiful. She posted a blog that she was going on a blogging break because of some unexpected happenings a few days ago and it struck an odd chord with me then. Today, I learn that this has occured, and I can only assume it was due to problems with her romantic relationship based on a tweet posted shortly before it all went down.

To both families- my thoughts and prayers are with you.

Everyone, life can be so short. You never know when someone will be gone. Enjoy the moments you have with one another and please seek counsel when needed.

Dreadlocks & the Future

Last night I decided that my hair was driving me crazy. I love my dreadlocks, but a lot of them decided to have a mind of their own & not in a good way. They were doing zig-zags and curling and all sorts of craziness.
Sooo...I've decided to start the process of combing them out. So far so good...it's not thinning my hair terribly like last time. I credit that to not using any product this time like beeswax.
I think I might keep the ones with beads in them b/c the beads are Kano beads...ancient & all that...& I know I'm going to miss the dreadlocks.
So I guess a few is okay.
So where does that leave this? GOLDILOC'S Sweepstakes & Reviews?
Honestly, I'm thinking about just starting all this over.
Not sure yet.
I haven't been in the mood to do sweepstakes the last few days, sorry.
We'll see.

I am an avid sweepstakes fan. It is one of my favorite hobbies, and I spend quite a lot of time entering sweepstakes online.
It became apparent to me that I should probably start a blog for my sweepstakes because blogging about sweepstakes can earn you extra entries into some great prizes.
Over time, I hope to add more content like:

...and much more!
Perhaps I will even get into the business of posting reviews of products and hosting giveaways? Only time will tell!
For the time being, my main purpose of this blog will be to share the sweepstakes I have been entering personally.
